Invisalign & Clear Aligners
Alignment is about more than how your teeth look.
At Vibrant Dentistry, we evaluate tooth position and bite relationships in the context of function, oral health, facial aesthetics, and your long-term goals — not just the way your smile looks in a photo.

Straight teeth are only part of the picture.
Tooth position and bite relationships influence more than appearance. How your teeth come together can affect the way you chew, how evenly your teeth wear, how easily you're able to clean between them, and how any future restorative work — a crown, a veneer, or an implant — might be planned or sequenced.
That's why we don't look at alignment as a cosmetic decision on its own. It's one part of a comprehensive approach to care — considered alongside the rest of what's happening in your mouth, not sold as a stand-alone upgrade.
If clear aligners are the right fit for your goals, we'll say so directly. If something else would serve you better, we'll say that too.
What we evaluate
Before recommending treatment, we look at the full picture.
Crowding and spacing
Where your teeth are crowded, gapped, or shifting over time, and what that means for cleaning and long-term stability.
Tooth position and alignment
How individual teeth sit relative to each other and to the arch as a whole.
Bite relationships
How your upper and lower teeth meet, and whether that relationship is contributing to wear, discomfort, or uneven pressure.
Existing restorations
Crowns, fillings, and other past work are part of the plan — treatment is sequenced around what's already in your mouth, not in spite of it.
Gum health
Moving teeth safely depends on healthy gum and bone support, so this is confirmed before any aligner plan begins.
Wear patterns
Flattened or chipped edges can point to a bite relationship worth addressing alongside alignment.
Your goals and priorities
What matters most to you — appearance, comfort, long-term function, or all three — shapes how we talk about options.
The process
A process designed around clarity and comfort.
Clear aligner treatment follows a clear sequence, and we'll walk you through each step before it happens.
- Comprehensive evaluation. We review your bite, your goals, and the findings described above before recommending a plan.
- Digital records and treatment planning. Scans and images are used to map out how your teeth will move over the course of treatment.
- A series of custom aligners. Each set is made specifically for you and worn in sequence to gradually guide teeth into position.
- Progress visits. We check in along the way to confirm treatment is tracking the way it should.
- Retention. After active treatment, a retention plan helps maintain your results over time.
Is this a fit
Clear aligners may be worth discussing if…
- You have crowding or spacing concerns
- Your teeth have shifted or relapsed after previous orthodontic treatment
- You'd prefer a less visible option than traditional braces
Not every patient is a candidate for aligner therapy, and some bite relationships call for a different approach altogether. Only a comprehensive evaluation can tell us whether clear aligners make sense for you.
Dr. Brodie Cook is a member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners, and brings that perspective to every evaluation — including an honest answer when aligners aren't the right tool for the job.
Sequencing care
Sometimes alignment is one step in a longer conversation.
When veneers, crowns, implants, or other restorative work are part of your plan, improving tooth position first can make that treatment more conservative and better sequenced — sometimes meaning less tooth structure needs to be altered to get the result you're after.
We'll talk through that sequencing with you during your evaluation, so you understand why we're recommending a particular order and what each step is accomplishing.
This is the same comprehensive thinking we bring to every part of your care — including how we evaluate bite and airway health, which can also intersect with alignment.
