Emergency Dentistry
A toothache or a broken tooth doesn't wait for a convenient day. Neither do we.
If something's wrong with your tooth, we want to help you figure out what to do next — whether that's coming in today, or talking it through by phone until we can see you.
Getting started
When to call us.
Dental emergencies may include toothaches, broken or cracked teeth, knocked-out teeth, swelling or signs of infection, and lost crowns or fillings.
If you're not sure whether what you're experiencing qualifies, call us at 480-820-1400 and we'll help you figure out the right next step. You can also reach us through our contact page.
Business hours
During office hours.
We accommodate same-day emergency appointments Wednesday through Friday during business hours, as long as our schedule allows. The sooner you call, the sooner we can look at what's happening and find a time to get you in.
Call 480-820-1400 as early as possible so we can do our best to fit you in.

Outside office hours
After hours and on closed days.
On days we're closed, our staff triage emergency calls to arrange a prompt consultation. After-hours emergencies are initially triaged by telehealth, and you'll be asked to submit a photo of the affected area to help us assess the situation and determine the appropriate next steps.
We aim to return calls within 1–2 hours. Calling 480-820-1400 is the fastest way to reach us.
Welcome
New patients are welcome.
We welcome new patients for emergency visits Wednesday through Friday, depending on schedule availability. If you'd like to know more about what a first visit with us looks like beyond the emergency itself, take a look at our new patient experience.
The visit
What to expect.
Treatment depends on your specific needs and the nature of the emergency. If definitive treatment can be provided during the visit, we will do so when possible.
Follow-up care sometimes involves services described elsewhere on our site — same-day crowns for a broken tooth or a lost crown, biomimetic dentistry when a conservative restoration is the right fit, or, when an emergency turns out to be part of a bigger picture, full mouth rehabilitation. We'll walk you through what applies to your situation.
Your comfort
Comfort options are available.
Nitrous oxide is available for emergency visits. IV sedation will need to be discussed in the office. See our FAQ page for more on sedation options.
